And many Bills fans are already telling him that he’s wrong.
Buffalo unveiled new alternate uniforms earlier this week which received a mixed reaction from fans.
There’s been a fairly negative reaction to the uniforms, and that isn’t sitting well with Allen.
“It’s a new look. It is. I understand that,” said Allen. “But we gotta be new, and I think these jerseys are symbolic of that. I’m excited to wear them. I really like them. We have people that put in a lot of hard work for these jerseys, and it just symbolizes a lot to be excited about.”
“I’ve heard a lot of comments about the jerseys,” added Allen. “I enjoy them. I think it’s very symbolic of what we want to do and what we want to be. I understand people want the old jerseys and the old helmets and all that. But we are moving forward — we have to move forward.”
If the Bills win in these jerseys, then I think the noise about them will quickly die down.
I also think that once we see them on the field that opinions may change. I’ve seen plenty of uniforms before that I didn’t like very much until I actually saw them on the field.
I’m with Allen here — give the new uniforms a chance.
