Two weeks left until the 2025 NFL Draft, and the news on top-30 visits for the Detroit Lions is rolling in. Here's who they've met with so far:

We can now add Virginia safety Jonas Sanker to that list per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Sanker is one of the top safeties in this year's draft. In 2024, he had a strong season with 73 tackles, one sack, one interception, and five pass breakups. He allowed a reception percentage of 61.5%. Not bad at all for a guy who would be the Lions' third safety.

This is a spot where they could use some depth after losing Ifeatu Melifonwu to the Dolphins. There's some thought that Avonte Maddox could take a spot at safety in Detroit, but still having some depth is important, and we don't know how high the Lions hold Morcie Norris and Loren Strickland at this point.

This will not be the first time the Lions have met with Sanker. They also had a formal meeting with him at the NFL Combine. Multiple meetings are usually a pretty good sign of high interest.

In terms of where the Lions can get DSanker, he's currently projected to go in the fourth round of the draft. Not bad for a top-five safety in this class. We'll see where this one goes.
