The day has arrived, as the NFL is set to make a telling decision on one of the most controversial plays in the league that the Philadelphia Eagles made famous.

The proposal to ban the "Tush Push" was first put forward by the Green Bay Packers, and NFL Insider Jordan Schultz added that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell is also pushing for the play to get banned.

However, as expected the Eagles are looking to convince the league that the play should remain. And Philadelphia owner Jeffrey Lurie brought a very important former player to help advocate for this.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that former Eagles center Jason Kelce is in Minneapolis to try and convince teams why the play should remain.

And he also spoke about it at length on the latest episode of his New Heights Podcast

"This feels like it's the most legitimate chance it's had since they've been voting on it to be banned. I'll say this, I'm actually going to Minnesota," Kelce said. "So there's some things said at the last Owners Meetings. Some of the owners and coaches hinted that the reason I stopped playing was because of the tush push and that I got hurt on the tush push frequently."

"I don't care if it gets banned or not. I think that at the end of the day, this is why you vote on things. And if they vote to ban the tush push, the Eagles are still going to run quarterback sneaks at a very high percentage," he added. "I'm just going to offer any type of, if anybody has any questions about the tush push or if I retired because of the tush push."

And with that, he put an end to that rumor immediately.

"I'll tell you this right now, I'll come out of retirement today if you tell me all I gotta do is run 80 tush pushes to play in the NFL. I'll do that gladly," he stated. "It'll be the easiest job in the world."
