2024 was a rough year for the New York Giants, with the team only able to finish with three wins.

They made multiple solid moves in the offseason to try to improve the outlook of this roster. Apparently, it wasn't enough to impress the people at EA Sports, with their early beta period revealing how they seem to feel about the Giants ahead of the 2025 season.

Early Madden 26 beta revealed the Giants with the lowest overall team rating

The early period of beta testing of the upcoming EA Sports Madden 26 video game revealed the Giants have a 75 overall rating. This has them as the worst NFL team in the game, with the Arizona Cardinals at 76 being the closest to them.

No one is going to argue that the Giants still have multiple glaring holes on their roster, but I have a hard time seeing them as the worst overall team in the league. They upgraded their roster on both sides of the ball this offseason. They brought in veteran QBs Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston on top of drafting QB Jaxson Dart. On the defensive side of the ball, they landed one of the top CBs on the market in Paulson Adebo and added to an already talented defensive line by drafting Abdul Carter.

The Giants' QB situation is going to be the most important situation to monitor this season. Wilson has had his fair share of struggles over the past couple seasons, but I don't think many would disagree that he should be a solid upgrade to what we saw from the Giants last year after moving on from Daniel Jones. Seeing a team like the New York Jets come in with an 86 overall makes the Giants' 75 overall rating seem even more disrespectful. The Giants have a solid amount of young players that likely pay attention to Madden ratings more than veterans might at this stage of their careers. Hopefully, this information will serve as motivation for the team to prove EA Sports wrong come Week 1 of the 2025 season.
