The Tennessee Vols have one of the best quarterback recruits in the country coming to Knoxville next year in five-star Faizon Brandon out of Greensboro, NC (Grimsley).

One former Vols signal caller sees a very high ceiling for the talented quarterback next year in Josh Heupel's offense. Jarrett Guarantano weighed in on Twitter/X on Brandon's potential with the Vols.

"Faizon Brandon is THE real deal. With a really good supporting cast & Coach Heupel’s ability to coach Offense, endless potential. Obviously a lot must happen within a Quarterback’s development, but his talent is immense. Also, might be one of the flyest first names. #Vols #GBO", Guarantano wrote on Wednesday morning.

Guarantano is someone who certainly gave his all for Tennessee, even if the results didn't come for himself and the team.  He was the Vols' starting quarterback from 2017-2020, appearing in 41 games before he ended up transferring to Washington State for his senior season.  He completed 61.5% of his passes for 6478 yards with 39 touchdowns to 20 interceptions over his five-year career.

He's right about Brandon's ceiling in Heupel's offense.  Brandon's arm has been on display this week at the Elite 11 camp in Los Angeles, where Brandon and the rest of the top quarterback recruits in the country are competing. It goes without saying that Brandon is leaving his mark on the recruiting outlets at the event.
