The Kansas City Chiefs have been on one of the most historic runs ever, creating a dynasty, something that very few franchises in the NFL can say that they have had in the history of their team.

But, it hasn't been all sunshine and rainbows, as we all know. I mean, the perfect example of that happened just months ago with the Philadelphia Eagles. But, they haven't been the only team to get one over on the Chiefs, as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers did it, too. I know, I know, sorry for bringing up bad memories, but for the sake of the article, I had to.

On that Buccaneers team, there is one player who gave Mahomes and the offense fits — well, there were a lot of players who did that, but I'm sure we all remember the game that Devin White had. At that time, he was on a run to having one of the best postseasons by any defender, maybe ever.

Since then, it's been a bit downhill for him as he's dealt with some injuries, bouncing from the Eagles to the Houston Texans to now the Las Vegas Raiders. But, he's healthy now, and he claims he feels as good as he once did. And, he's ready to play the Chiefs twice a year.

"I mean, we had some good battles with him," Raiders' new LB Devin White said. "I think we played them three times. They beat us, too, but we ultimately got the good one. I've got a lot of experience with him, just chasing him around. I was a spy in the game, I got to chase him around, and that was fun. The only thing I didn't get to do was play in Arrowhead. Every game was in Raymond James.

"So, now I get to go back and forth, and it could be a real good competition because he's a great quarterback to play against, and I think he makes you rise up to the level of competition that he's going to play at. So, man, that was one of those games where you want to really, really play at your best, because it's best on best. A good quarterback, good linebacker going at it, making checks at the line of scrimmage, just trying to beat one another within the game."

White may end up being a starter for the Raiders in an LB room that would have been elite if it were 2021. White, along with former Pittsburgh Steelers LB Elandon Roberts and former Cincinnati Bengals LB Germaine Pratt, are the three main guys. And, they could be a pretty decent room, but they could also be pretty bad if things don't go as they expect.

But the biggest thing is that they are all pretty familiar with Mahomes, especially White, who beat Mahomes in the Super Bowl. Now that they are playing twice a year, this could end up being pretty fun, and let's be honest, the last few times the Raiders have played the Chiefs, they either almost beat them, or the Raiders won on Christmas Day.

White has always struggled in coverage, but used to have some of the best athleticism at his position, to where he could make up for almost anything. But, in the last few years, those lapses in coverage have started to show. If he's claiming that he feels like his old self, that could be bad news for the Chiefs.

But, then again, this is Patrick Mahomes we are talking about.
