Steelers fans are going to loathe Kenny Pickett even more following head-scratching trade that brings him back to the AFC North

Kenny Pickett just won a Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Well sort of. He was the backup for the team and even recorded some snaps to end the route that was the game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
And while he probably never planned on leaving the Pittsburgh Steelers, I doubt he thought he would be playing them twice a year going forward.
Well, that may be his new reality..
Kenny Pickett traded to the Browns
Trade! The Browns are acquiring QB Kenny Pickett from the Eagles in exchange for Dorian Thompson-Robinson and a 5th round pick (originally from the Lions), sources say.
– Ian Rapoport, NFL Media
Pickett, who was the 20th pick in the 2022 NFL Draft was sent packing last year after a series of incidents that damaged his image and turned many Steelers fans against him, when in reality it was all propaganda by the Steelers brass.
Neither here nor there, Pickett played in five games for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2024, including making five starts and a Super Bowl appearance. And while the Cleveland Browns don't exactly have a starting QB on their roster, Kenny Pickett will be a backup in all likelihood.
Armed with the second pick in the draft, Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders are obvious prospects to watch for the Browns. But should they want to sit either player, there is a real chance that Pickett will play against the Steelers in 2025, if not sometime in the future.
“There’s ups and downs, like a lot of guys have around the league,” Pickett told Alan Saunders of Steelers Now during media availability at Super Bowl LIX. “I’m grateful for all the people I’ve met [in Pittsburgh]. I wish it would have ended differently, but I’m here now, and I’m really excited to be at this game…
"…I came a long way. You never know where the game’s gonna take you. Just, I’m grateful to be here, just be where your feet are. If you put everything into the team, good things happen, so it’s been a good year.”
It looks like the game is taking him to Cleveland.
