After a slow start to the 2026 recruiting cycle Lane Kiffin and the Ole Miss Rebels are finally starting to rack up the unofficial and official visits with some of their top recruiting targets around the country. There's still a lot of closing to be done, but the groundwork continues to be laid for another strong recruiting class.

As of this week Kiffin and company have lined up yet another official visit for early summer, and this time it's an in-state talent that Ole Miss would love to keep away from SEC rivals.

Bryson Cooley, Interior Offensive Line Recruit

Bryson Cooley is a highly sought after three star interior offensive line that brings great size, length, and athleticism. At 6'6", 285 pounds as a junior in high school Cooley has been a top target of Lane Kiffin's for quite some time now. And on Tuesday Rebels fans got some great news as he's locked in four official visits, including one with Ole Miss. Cooley is also set to see Alabama, LSU, and Mississippi State in person but this looks like Ole Miss' battle to lose.

Cooley wasn't a top target for many of the big brands in college football prior to last season, but just like Kiffin and his crew have done before they identified the upside early, offering him as last fall's football season was just kicking off. That likely pays dividends now.

Since Cooley's dominant junior season ended he's racked up scholarship offers from LSU, Florida, Florida State, Alabama, and several other top programs around the country and his rise up recruiting boards is likely not done. There's a great chance with yet another year of physical maturity Cooley ends up a four star recruit.

There has been very little in-person visit action for Cooley with most college football staffs and programs so far, but Ole Miss is ahead of the game there too having just seen him in person in February. There still might be a chance for some of the Rebels' SEC rivals to surge late for Cooley but all signs point to him leaning Ole Miss as of this writing.

The offensive line play has been a point of strength for Ole Miss in most seasons under Lane Kiffin. However, the guard play was questionable last season as the team shuffled through three different options. Cooley could potentially earn a starting spot right away given his speed, athleticism, and raw blocking ability. Let's hope Kiffin closes the deal this summer.
