UT baseball coach Tony Vitello gave Tennessee Vols fans the ultimate compliment this week during the latest episode of The Mike Keith Show

Vitello mentioned to Mike Keith, the new Voice of the Vols, how impressed he is with the way that Tennessee fans travel for away baseball games, noting that it's almost awkward (in a positive way) how many cheers they receive in opposing ballparks.

"I like now that our fans are all on board," said Vitello. "We still seem to be accumulating some [new fans]. And now they've got high standards and they really seem to be learning the game, some of the new [fans], as they go along.

"And, man, when we go on the road, it's almost awkward how many high fives or autograph (requests) and cheers we get in these opposing stadiums because of how well [Tennessee fans] are traveling."

There's no doubt that Tennessee fans are incredibly supportive of the UT baseball program. Vols fans manage to make Lindsey Nelson Stadium feel like an SEC football game in March, and that's nothing short of incredible.
