The entire NFL felt the wrath of the "tush push" this past season via the Philadelphia Eagles. Now, the New Orleans Saints employ their former offensive coordinator as their head coach.

With that connection and plenty of discussion around the league surrounding the future of the play, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni talked about the future of their well-known play that has caused some uproar. He called on Kellen Moore, among other coaches, to help them make sure that it isn't outlawed by the NFL.

Sirianni makes claim for Kellen Moore

When discussing the "tush push", the Eagles HC mentioned the new Saints head coach as one that he believes will support keeping the play around.

The Green Bay Packers offered a proposal to ban the play earlier this offseason. It remains to be seen what will happen with it for the foreseeable future.

Since Moore has some experience with the play, this decision will affect the Saints one way or another. Even with a less mobile QB in New Orleans with Derek Carr, I would imagine that Moore and his offensive staff will use the "tush push" if it is allowed.

Sirianni also notes how well the play worked when it comes to the Eagles' offensive production in recent seasons. That helped some of his assistants land new jobs this offseason, including the new lead man in New Orleans.

For Saints fans, this situation is worth monitoring. If the league goes against the play, then the new offensive group in New Orleans will have to adjust. Regardless, it sounds like Moore will attempt to help his friends back in Philly to make sure that doesn't happen.
