The 2025 NFL Scouting Combine has officially arrived. The entire NFL world descends on Indianapolis to meet with draft prospects for interviews, medical checks, and athletic testing.

However, the Los Angeles Rams don't send a particularly heavy presence to the Combine. Neither GM Les Snead nor head coach Sean McVay will be in attendance this year, once again.

Many teams use the Combine to test measurables for each prospect that lines up with how they view the position. For many teams, a certain arm length or a certain threshold on the broad jump will determine if they take a player or not.

How do the Rams use the Combine to evaluate each position?

It's no secret the Los Angeles Rams need to figure out their long-term offensive tackle solution at both left and right tackle. Left tackle Alaric Jackson is a pending free agent and right tackle Rob Havenstein is nearing retirement.

How does the NFL Combine impact how the Rams draft offensive tackles? Let's take a look at their past draft history. Using every offensive tackle they have drafted in the top five rounds under Les Snead, we can paint a picture of what the Rams look for here.

Rams OT Testing

The unfortunate part of this data is that it doesn't tell us much, beyond the fact that it's staggering the Rams have only drafted six offensive tackles in the 12 years that Les Snead has been in charge.

There's no discernable pattern to the way the Rams draft offensive tackles, other than they definitely prefer players to exceed the 33-inch mark.

If anything, they seem to ignore Combine testing. None of these players tested particularly well in any area. Most of them are poor athletes by testing and on the field.

Unfortunately, there's not much to go on to try and figure out the caliber of player the Rams would target at offensive tackle in this year's draft.
