Former Tennessee Vols offensive lineman Cooper Mays is hoping to be selected in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Mays spent five seasons at Tennessee, playing in 53 games with 45 starts. His SEC experience should be attractive to NFL teams, but the East Tennessee native is a bit undersized which is why he'll likely fall to the later rounds of the draft.

The latest 2025 NFL mock draft from Pro Football Focus has the Philadelphia Eagles selecting Mays in the seventh round (No. 238 overall).

Mays allowed just five sacks during his five seasons at Tennessee.

From PFF: Over the past two seasons, Mays has been rock-solid in pass protection, allowing just one sack and one quarterback hit combined.

Landing with the Eagles, the 2024/25 Super Bowl champions, would be a fantastic scenario for Mays.

Because Mays isn't expected to be a high draft pick, he's going to have to battle to carve out a role for himself in the NFL. Starting his career in Philadelphia, a franchise that is currently running like a well-oiled machine, would be a great situation for Mays' continued development.

I don't know if Mays would stick on the Eagles' roster for the 2025 season — that depends on Philly's roster depth and what kind of injuries happen during training camp — but that's not all that important. Mays would undoubtedly take a step forward in his development by spending training camp with the Eagles, which would likely make him an attractive option to other NFL teams that could be in need of center depth in 2025.

Mays has the talent and the intelligence to stick around in the NFL, he just needs the right opportunities. And landing in Philly would certainly be a great opportunity for the former Vol.
