Former Tennessee Vols QB Hendon Hooker goes viral for sick move in final NFL preseason game
Former Tennessee Vols QB Hendon Hooker is hoping to earn a roster spot for the 2026 season.
Former Tennessee Vols quarterback Hendon Hooker showed off his playmaking ability in the Tennessee Titans’ final preseason game.
Hooker, who isn’t expected to make the Titans’ 53-man roster (he’s a practice squad candidate), went semi-viral on Saturday night for putting a defender on the ground with a sick open field move that looked like it was straight from an And1 mixtape.
Hooker was a standout basketball player at Dudley High School in Greensboro, so it’s no surprise he has that move in his toolbelt.
The former Vol completed 5-of-8 passes for 37 yards while also rushing for 29 yards on two attempts.
The Titans are likely only keeping two quarterbacks on the 53-man roster — Cam Ward and Mitch Trubisky. If Hooker is waived as expected, he’ll need to clear waivers to end up on the Titans’ practice squad.
