The Cleveland Browns have some big decisions to make coming up that will have a big impact on the franchise. None is no bigger than deciding whether or not they will trade DE Myles Garrett in the end.

Another problem for the Browns is that they have to find a starting quarterback. Deshaun Watson re-ruptured his Achilles and likely wasn’t the starter even if healthy.

Cleveland has options but it is not like they’ve had success finding a QB in recent memory. The Browns will draft one at some point. However, one NFL insider revealed two veterans that the Browns could have on their radar.

“They are going to be in a position to potentially take Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders if they feel like the value is there. Regardless, I would anticipate they also add a veteran to the mix. Kirk Cousins has a relationship with Kevin Stefanski. He could be an economical option if and when the Falcons release him. Don’t overlook Daniel Jones in Cleveland either.” – Tom Pelissero, NFL Network

Cousins has the connection from Minnesota with Kevin Stefanski and his 2018-2019 seasons with Stefanski as his coordinator were terrific. Cousins played some of his best ball with Stefanski and coming off of a disappointing season in Atlanta, Cousins could look for a familiar system to bounce back in.

Cleveland needs a veteran to bridge for any rookie they bring in come April, so another option could be Jones. Jones’ time in New York never went as he had wished with the Giants, despite getting a large contract out of them. Now, Jones is likely to sign a one-year deal somewhere to try to get back on his feet.

When the new league year in March arrives, we will see just how aggressive the Browns will be with a Garrett trade request hanging over them. One thing is for sure though, they will have to sign a QB no matter what.
