The Alabama Crimson Tide appear to be on the verge of landing an elite 2026 recruit before the end of February.

2026 four-star cornerback Jorden Edmonds is set to announce his commitment on February 19.

Alabama is currently viewed as the favorite to land Edmonds.

Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee are also in the mix to land the talented cornerback.

“Alabama is on top. All four are still very high on my list, but Alabama has the top spot,” said Edmonds to On3 ahead of his decision.

Edmonds, 6-foot-3/175 lbs from Marietta, GA, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 5 cornerback in the nation and the No. 4 player in the state of Georgia. He's also rated as the No. 53 overall player in the 2026 recruiting class.

The four-star recruit, who has an elite wingspan, received rave reviews for his performance this past week at the Under Armour ATL camp.

From 247Sports: Edmonds spent Sunday's camp fluidly moving in coverage and shutting down nearly every receiver he matched up with in the extensive one-on-one session. The No. 53 player in the 2026 Top247 rankings was the only player we saw come away with multiple interceptions, and even when he wasn't picking off passes the four-star talent was finding success mirroring potential pass-catchers in both press and off-man coverage. Edmonds' ability to break on the ball and recover quickly in space is uncommon at his size, and makes him one of the more coveted defensive backs in the 2026 cycle.

Alabama currently has just one player (four-star athlete Zyan Gibson) committed to its 2026 recruiting class.
