The Philadelphia Eagles were forced to move on from offensive coordinator Kellen Moore following their Super Bowl win after he accepted the New Orleans Saints head coaching job.

However, it did not take long for the Birds to find Moore's replacement since they went with an internal hire, promoting passing game coordinator Kevin Patullo to OC.

While Patullo has 16 years of experience coaching in various roles on offense, this opportunity marks his first play-calling position. Because of that, many fans and critics are skeptical, but wide receiver A.J. Brown offered some reassurance on the Eagles' new hire.

"For our fans, they need to understand everything has to change," Brown said during NFL Network's The Insiders. "I know we just won, but it has to change. We have to get better, and we have to do things different. But I truly feel like it's a great hire; he already has been involved in almost everything. Him, Kellen (Moore) and Nick (Sirianni) basically called the plays already.

"So, it's a great hire and he's already familiar with us. We have a great relationship, and he knows what we need to work on because he's been there, and he's been there for a while, and like I said, he's already been a part of all the situations and the conversations and everything. So, I think it's a great hire."

Patullo has been with the Eagles since 2021 and he previously worked with head coach Nick Sirianni in Indianapolis with the Colts. Sirianni even went as far as to explain that Patullo has always been his go-to guy for advice on implementing new ideas.

The hire is also great for quarterback Jalen Hurts, who won't have to learn a new system, despite playing under his fifth offensive coordinator in six years.
