The Kansas City Chiefs took to social media to reveal the jersey numbers of their 2025 NFL Draft class.
- First-round pick OT Josh Simmons: No. 71
- Second-round pick DL Omarr Norman-Lott: No. 55
- Third-round pick DE Ashton Gillotte: No. 97
- Third-round pick CB Nohl Williams: No. 20
- Fourth-round pick WR Jalen Royals: No. 11
- Fifth-round pick LB Jeffrey Bassa: No. 31
- Seventh-round pick RB Brashard Smith: No. 30
Observations
Simmons will be sticking with the number he wore during his time at Ohio State, as is Norman-Lott from his days at Tennessee. The rest of the class will be sporting new numbers. Gillotte's assigned No. 97 is also the number that DE Felix Anudike-Uzomah has worn throughout his two-year career in Kansas City.
It's common for players to share jersey numbers during the offseason, as one of them will make a switch before the start of the regular season. Many hoped that Royals would be assigned the No. 85 as an ohmage to the Kansas City Royals baseball team, who share the same parking lot with the Chiefs at Truman Sports Complex.
Williams is switching from No. 3 at California to 20. Bassa goes from No. 2 at Oregon to 31, and Smith will exchange his No. 1 at SMU to 30. Even if they aren't sharing numbers with anyone, rookies often change numbers before the season.
