The Philadelphia Eagles announced a roster move over the weekend following their rookie minicamp.

They waived running back Tyrion Davis-Price and signed wide receiver Giles Jackson.

Davis-Price was initially signed by the Eagles last year and appeared in one game in 2024, carrying the ball three times for seven yards.

As a former third-round pick of the 2022 NFL draft out of LSU by the San Francisco 49ers, Davis-Price saw action in six games during his rookie year, where he ran 34 times for 99 yards.

The following year, Davis-Price had just six rushes for 21 yards in his lone regular-season appearance. He was released from the Niners in December and re-signed to the practice squad before the Eagles picked him up in February.

Giles Jackson Went Undrafted Out of Washington

Meanwhile, running back Giles Jackson went undrafted out of Washington following the 2025 NFL Draft. He totaled 135 catches for 1,414 yards and nine touchdowns over four seasons with the Huskies.

The Eagles must have liked what they saw from Jackson during his tryout at rookie minicamp and decided to give him a chance.

Jackson was projected to be a late-round pick but many draft experts, but ultimately went undrafted.

Here's what his draft analyst, Tony Pauline, had to say about Jackson in his scouting report:

Small yet explosive wideout coming off a career season. Quickly gets off the line, immediately gets to top speed and possesses a burst. Tracks the pass in the air and displays focus as well as concentration and eye/hand coordination. Adjusts to the errant throw, comes away with the difficult reception in contorted positions and extends to make the catch away from his frame. Quickly gets into routes, separates from defenders and is effective running after the catch. Experienced as a return specialist.

Undersized and loses out in battles. Marginally productive for most of his college career until last season.

Jackson is a quick and surehanded slot receiver who needs space to work. He offers possibilities in a timing offense, and hi
s deep speed and potential as a vertical threat will be attractive.

Considering the Eagles did not address their wide receiver room behind A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith in the draft this year, Jackson has a legitimate chance to make the roster if all goes well throughout camp.
