The road to Super Bowl LIX kicks off this weekend with the NFL wild card round.

The Philadelphia Eagles are one of 14 teams to make it to the postseason with their first matchup coming against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday evening.

If the Eagles lose, they will be eliminated.

If the Eagles win, however, they advance to the divisional round of the playoffs.

The Eagles not only have all 22 starters healthy for Sunday, but they also have a home-field advantage by hosting the Packers at the Linc. And since they're the No. 2 seed, they will host their divisional opponent too, as long as they win.

Who they face in the divisional round will come down to the winner of the Washington Commanders and Tampa Bay Buccaneers game. If Tampa wins, the Eagles automatically host the Bucs.

If the Commanders win, then they will play the winner of Monday Night's wild-card game between the Minnesota Vikings and Los Angeles Rams.

The Bucs Have Owned the Eagles in the Playoffs

Taking on the Bucs might not be ideal, but it could mean sweet revenge considering they have knocked the Birds out of the playoffs four of the six times they've met.

Their most recent playoff outing against each other was just last year when Tampa destroyed Philly, 32-9, and officially put an end to their disastrous 2024 season. We also can't forget when Tom Brady and the Bucs took down the Birds in 2022 to advance to the Super Bowl and won it all.

It's also worth noting that the Eagles lost only three games during the 2024 regular season, and the Bucs were one of them. So, this potential divisional-round matchup would be extremely personal for Nick Sirianni.

If the Eagles win the divisional round, they advance to the NFC Championship where they would face either the Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, or the Los Angeles Rams.

And if they keep winning, then their potential Super Bowl opponent comes down to one of the top three seeds in the AFC: Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, and Baltimore Ravens.

A Super Bowl appearance isn't far-fetched for this Philly team, who have the fourth-best odds (+700) of making the trip to New Orleans.

And it all starts on Sunday against the Packers at 4:25 p.m. ET on FOX.
