Philadelphia Eagles rookie Quinyon Mitchell came in clutch with a fourth-quarter interception in the team's wild card win over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
Mitchell, whom the Eagles draft in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, picked off Packers quarterback Jordan Love on a deep end zone pass intended for wide receiver Bo Melton to ultimately seal the team's 22-10 win.
Mitchell celebrated his game-winning interception by attempting to hit Triple H's Pedigree on fellow rookie cornerback Cooper DeJean.
Following the Eagles' victory, quarterback Jalen Hurts was asked by reporters to comment on Mitchell's performance and first career interception.
Hurts kept his answer short but sweet.
"I owe him a shoutout on Instagram," Hurts said.
Mitchell's interception was just one of four turnovers that the Eagles' defense forced in the win.
"Our defense played their tales off," Hurts said. "Played their tales off and created turnovers. I think ultimately, when you have those opportunities, you gotta take advantage of them. And it starts with me."
Hurts finished the night completing 13 of 21 passes for 131 yards and two touchdowns. He also carried the ball six times for 36 yards.
The Eagles' win over the Packers marks their first wild card round win since 2019.
They now advance to the divisional round of the playoffs where they will host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as long as they beat the Washington Commanders on Sunday night. If the Commanders win, however, then the Eagles will face the winner of the Los Angeles Rams–Minnesota Vikings Monday night game.
