Expectations were high for former Georgia Bulldogs star defender Jalen Carter in his second year with the Philadelphia Eagles.

And it's safe to say he met them after finishing the 2024 season with a career-high 12 tackles for loss, six pass deflections, and 16 quarterback hits, along with 4.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles.

In fact, the jump from his rookie year was so impressive that the former ninth overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft earned himself his first Pro Bowl nod.

Carter, who has racked up a total of 75 tackles (45 solo), 10.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, and six pass deflections in his first two seasons with the Birds, says he is still just getting started.

“You know, it’s just the beginning,” Carter said of his first Pro Bowl. “You know, as I say, I’m not perfect at anything I do right now. I still have a lot of stuff to work on. That’s just going to come with the years of experience that I gather up while I’m still here playing in the league.”

Carter joined five other elite Eagles players who were named Pro Bowl starters: linebacker Zack Baun, running back Saquon Barkley, center Cam Jurgens, right tackle Lane Johnson, and left guard Landon Dickerson.

Carter and the rest of the Eagles' 2024-25 season is not over yet. They face the New York Giants at home this Sunday for their regular-season finale and then head into the playoffs as the No. 2 seed.
