The Dallas Cowboys announced their inactives 90 minutes prior to their regular season finale, a largely significant in the sense that it might be Mike McCarthy's last ever leading America's Team.
For Dallas, the biggest on-field storyline of the game is all about the quarterback position as Trey Lance is reportedly set to play his first significant reps of the year.
But another young player to watch on this one will be Tyler Guyton, who is set to receive a big opportunity with Chuma Edoga inactive for this one with a toe injury. Edoga has been starting over the first-round rookie for surprisingly long but today, Guyton he should be playing all game long.
Guyton will face Dan Quinn's defense, which features former Cowboys defensive ends Dorance Armstrong and Dante Fowler Jr. This time around, there will be a more mobile quarterback working the pocket in Lance, which could be beneficial for Guyton and the O-line but at times frustrating if he bails out of the pocket sooner than needed.
The reps will be valuable for the young player who was expected to have a rookie year with growing pains. He should be an important piece of the Cowboys' future.
