For teams eliminated from the playoffs, the coaching carousel is already beginning to turn. Rumors abound, with several teams making moves even before the Week 18 weekend wraps up.

The Cleveland Browns, who have had a horrible season by pretty much any way you look at it, are one of those teams. On Sunday morning, they elected to move on from offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey, a name familiar to Bills Mafia.

Dorsey joined the Buffalo Bills in 2019 as their Quarterbacks coach, working with Josh Allen for a couple seasons before being promoted to passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the 2021 season. In 2022, Dorsey was promoted to offensive coordinator, holding that position until the Bills dropped a game against the Denver Broncos in Week 10.

At that point in the season, Buffalo had a 5-5 record, averaging 26.2 points per game after a hot start, but the team fell into a lull after Week 4, dropping to 18.8 points per game over a six-week stretch.

Moving on from Dorsey has clearly been the right move. After letting Dorsey go and promoting Joe Brady to interim offensive coordinator, the Bills went on an unbelievable run, finishing the season on a 6-1 tear with five straight wins after their bye week to make the playoffs. The offense got a jolt, bumping back up to 24.6 points per game.

This season with a full year under his belt and the offseason to continue to build his system, Brady has the Bills firing as one of the best offenses in the league. Buffalo is averaging 31.8 points per game (2nd), 0.530 points per play (1st), and the Bills have the second seed in the AFC locked up with a 13-3 record, all without Stefon Diggs on the roster.

Meanwhile, Dorsey's tenure in Cleveland is over after one season, and Cleveland had the worst offense in the league, ranking dead last in points per game at 15.2. The move from Dorsey to Brady has proven to be perfect.
