Former Tennessee Vols linebacker Kalib Perry has a new home after entering the NCAA transfer portal last month.

Perry, who spent three seasons at Tennessee, is transferring to Louisville according to 247Sports. He has one season of eligibility remaining.

Perry, who played 17 snaps in the Vols' loss to Ohio State in the first round of the College Football Playoff, signed with Tennessee as a three-star recruit during the 2022 recruiting cycle.

The Kentucky native totaled 61 tackles and three tackles for loss during his three seasons with the Vols.

Tennessee transfer tight end Holden Staes reportedly visited Louisville last week. Staes transferred from Notre Dame to Tennessee after the 2023 season. He spent one season at UT.

Those aren't the only connections between Tennessee and Louisville.

Former Vols defensive back Tamarion McDonald, who was teammates with Perry at Tennessee for two seasons, transferred to Louisville for the 2024 season (his final season of eligibility). Additionally, former Tennessee quarterback Harrison Bailey played at Louisville in 2023 and 2024. Bailey recently re-entered the NCAA transfer portal.
