Bills' Joe Brady has an obvious decision to make as he's drawing head coaching interest from surprising AFC East rival

The problem with having a team that does well is, typically, your assistant coaches start drawing interest from other NFL teams. The Buffalo Bills are certainly not immune to this. Offensive Coordinator Joe Brady, who has turned the Buffalo offense into a juggernaut since taking over the offense after Week 10 of the 2023 NFL season, is reportedly drawing plenty of interest for head coaching jobs.
With eliminated teams quickly turning their attention to their coaching staffs, the New York Jets, of all teams, has put in a request to interview Brady.
There hasn't been anything reported about whether or not Joe Brady would be interested in moving on for head coaching opportunities, although he certainly might. That said, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the Jets would not be a team that Brady would make the jump for.
For Brady to get pried out of being the offensive coordinator for the best quarterback in the NFL, I would imagine it would have to take a pretty good landing spot. The Jets don't offer that. Ownership has been a joke, the team is in shambles, and with questions around Aaron Rodgers' future swirling, the team has no idea who their quarterback of the future will be. The Jets are currently slated to pick 7th in the 2025 NFL Draft, and whoever they hire to be their new General Manager will have some work to do. The Jets have all of their own 2025 draft picks aside from their 7th rounder, and have an additional 6th rounder from Kansas City to work with. All of that aside, I'd also imagine that Brady would not like having to go against Josh Allen twice per year.
If the Jets are hoping to get their quarterback of the future, the 2025 NFL Draft class doesn't project as a very strong one at the position, especially not where they are slated to pick. Maybe they get aggressive and move up for Shedeur Sanders or Cam Ward, but most people believe this class only has those two quarterbacks as the ones projected to go in the first round.
Brady might leave. It's certainly possible. Right now, he's focused on a playoff run to hopefully bring a Super Bowl to Western New York. If he does take a job elsewhere, I would think the Jets situation would be pretty far down the priority list.
