Oregon's off-season will be full of plenty of changes to the roster. When looking ahead to next season's schedule, we know the opponents but not the dates. The games, on paper, look to be a pretty winnable schedule for Oregon, with one big game standing out above the rest.

Easily the biggest game of the year will be Oregon traveling to Penn State in a rematch of the Big Ten Championship game. As of last week, it was thought that the Nittany Lions would be entering next season with a new battery in the backfield. Unfortunately for the Ducks, Penn State is slated to return arguably the best running back duo in the country with the news that both Nicholas Singleton and Kaytron Allen are coming back for another run.

Singleton and Allen are a lethal combination, and they gave Oregon fits in the Big Ten Championship. The running back duo combined for 229 rushing yards on only 25 attempts, with both running backs factoring into the receiving games as well. Outside of tight end Tyler Warren, the running backs were the engine for the Penn State offense this season.

Both backs have burst, physicality, pass-catching chops, and and the ability to turn any run into a touchdown. Penn State will definitely be losing some of their more talented players to the NFL this year, like Warren and defensive end Abdul Carter, with Oregon sending plenty of talent to the next level as well.

When the two sides match up next season at Beaver Stadium, it will be a largely different group of players squaring off. But the game plan to stop the Nittany Lions next season will be the same as it was this year — you better commit to stopping the running backs.
