A former Tennessee Vols linebacker was hired by the Tennessee Titans on Sunday to a front office role.
Former Vols linebacker Reggie McKenzie, who was the one-time general manager of the Las Vegas Raiders, was hired by the Titans to a senior scouting role.
McKenzie served as a senior personnel executive with the Miami Dolphins from 2019 to 2024. He was the Raiders' general manager from 2012 to 2018.
McKenzie is a hire that makes a lot of sense for the Titans. Before serving as the Raiders' general manager, McKenzie was a member of the Green Bay Packers' front office from 1994 to 2011.
While in Green Bay, McKenzie crossed paths with Titans president of football operations Chad Brinker for three seasons.
Additionally, new Titans general manager Mike Borgonzi was part of the Kansas City Chiefs front office that drafted former Vols defensive lineman Kahlil McKenzie, the son of Reggie, in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
McKenzie, who played for the Volunteers from 1981 to 1984, should be a seamless fit in the Titans' newly revamped front office.
