Buffalo Bills have what it takes to win the Super Bowl in large part because of a position group that doesn't get the love they deserve

It's really easy to sit back and talk about Josh Allen. He's the face of the franchise, already a Buffalo legend, one of the best players in the NFL, and he's having a historically good season.

Without the guys in front of him, none of it would be possible.

The offensive line is a sexy position group to talk about. They're the big hogmollies up front that do the dirty work, but any coach will point to the significance of the big fellas and what they do on a daily basis. Allen has always been great about giving them their flowers, congratulating them for big plays and making sure that they share in the praise and the celebrations. For some reason, the Buffalo offensive line still isn't being talked about enough as an elite unit, despite their performance this year absolutely warranting it.

Sacks aren't just an offensive line stat, and I understand that. Part of the responsibility falls on the quarterback to get the ball out on time or, in Allen's case, his ability to evade pass rushers certainly helps things.

But through two playoff games, the Bills front has gone up against the best pass rush in the NFL in the Denver Broncos, who led the NFL in total sacks this season, and a Baltimore Ravens front that was the No. 1 ranked rush defense in the NFL. Over those two games, Allen has been sacked only once, and the line has been able to fire off the ball and handle whoever is in their way. Against the Ravens' stout run defense, especially on the final drive before halftime, the Bills front was able to impose their will, open up rushing lanes, and gain ground in the trenches.

Bills fans know and love the work that the line does, especially their tackle duo of Dion Dawkins and Spencer Brown, who both got contract extensions last offseason. Neither one getting named to the Pro Bowl or All Pro isn't a reflection on their talents. Their physicality and athleticism is exactly what helps this offense go, and is taking tons of pressure of Allen. The line is out in front, in more ways than one.
