The Buffalo Bills surprised their fan base on Tuesday, announcing their uniform combination for this Sunday afternoon's home game against the New England Patriots, and it's a combo that the team hasn't pulled out before.
The new red combination is drawing plenty of opinions, some good, and some bad. Personally, I love them and think they look great. What this jersey combination doesn't bring to the table is something fans have been clamoring for in recent years — the throwback red helmet, which would look perfect with this jersey.
The red with the white stripes is drawing plenty of comparisons to the Patriots' old jerseys.
Maybe it's an intentional troll job by the Bills, which would be hilarious. Even if it's not, there is a striking similarity.
In my opinion, there's only one thing left to do with this jersey combination, and that would be for Josh Allen to bust out the red Oakley visor that we've seen from him in preseason appearances.
Allen would look like a supervillain on the field in that combination, in what will be the first of many matchups between the Bills and Patriots' new franchise quarterback Drake Maye.
No game can be looked past, but the Bills are primed to finish off the season with three straight division wins with two games against the Patriots and a game against the Jets remaining on the schedule. The division has been in hand for two weeks already, but Bills fans will be scoreboard watching as the season winds to a close in hopes that the Chiefs will stumble and hand the No. 1 seed in the AFC over to Buffalo.
