The LSU Tigers are reportedly one of the teams in the mix for Oklahoma Sooners transfer wide receiver Nic Anderson.

"Two early schools in the mix for the Oklahoma transfer Nic Anderson are LSU and Texas A&M, sources tell On3," wrote On3's Pete Nakos on Thursday. "Visits could be lined up for this weekend, sources tell On3’s Steve Wiltfong."

Anderson, who was a redshirt sophomore in 2024, missed most of the season due to injury.

The Texas native, however, showed off his dynamic playmaking abilities as a redshirt freshman in 2023, catching 38 passes for 798 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Anderson, 6-foot-4/219 lbs, is a former four-star recruit who signed with the Sooners during the 2022 recruiting cycle. He's rated by 247Sports as the No. 4 wide receiver in the transfer portal.

LSU is expected to be active in the transfer wide receiver market, so it's no surprise that they're showing serious interest in Anderson.

Tigers quarterback Garrett Nussmeier announced on Wednesday that he's returning to Baton Rouge for the 2025 season. That announcement should certainly help LSU's pitch to transfer wide receivers.

Nussmeier is from Louisiana, but like Anderson, he played high school football in Texas.
