Montrell Washington truly got into the holiday spirit with an incredible gesture for his teammates
The Kansas City Chiefs practice squad wide receiver gave each of his fellow receivers Caddix cleats for Christmas.
He tried them out and was a big fan, so he got each of his teammates a custom pair. Based on the website, the shoes begin at over $200 dollars per pair.
These cleats are meant to reduce the risk of major injuries in football. When creating them, Caddix learned that these injuries were mainly caused by "cleats that lock a player's foot to the playing field."
So, not only was he getting his teammates a very generous gift, but he's also helping ensure that Kansas City has a better chance to three-peat with less injuries to their key weapons.
You often hear of quarterbacks and other big name players getting things for their teammates. But this is someone on the practice squad.
It's these types of stories that make the holiday season so special.
Patrick Mahomes gives Chiefs offensive line an incredible sweet early Christmas gift
Patrick Mahomes wanted to show his appreciation for the Kansas City Chiefs offensive line this holiday season.
And he did so with an incredible gift.
It has become very well-known that quarterbacks give their lineman something for the holidays. And Mahomes took it to extreme.
In a photo shared by the Chiefs on X, formerly known as Twitter, they showed that the star quarterback gave the offensive line Rolex Watches, Lucchese Boots, Yeti Coolers, Oakley Sunglasses, and Normatec Elite.
The Chiefs front has struggled this season, so many were surprised to see Mahomes give them such a generous gift.
However, people often forget that a lot goes on behind the scenes. And a quarterback relies on those five guys on the field at all moments. Sometimes they struggle, but there have been times this season where Mahomes has been able to make something happen due to the additional time in the pocket.
But, this week in particular will truly showcase how important the offensive line is for Mahomes.
He suffered a high ankle sprain in the Chiefs' win over the Cleveland Browns. All signs point to him playing on Saturday against the Houston Texans, so he is going to need his offensive line to protect him more than ever.
