The Tennessee Vols remain one of the top five teams for 2026 four-star running back Jae Lamar.

Alabama, however, can't say the same.

According to Rivals.com national recruiting director Adam Gorney, Alabama has slipped out of Lamar's top five in favor of Florida State.

"After visiting Florida State in recent days, the Seminoles have now joined Lamar's top list," wrote Gorney. "Georgia, Ohio State, Tennessee and Miami have been the mainstays for the four-star running back from Moultrie (Ga.) Colquitt County. FSU has joined the top five and Alabama has slipped out."

Lamar, 6-foot/205 lbs from Moultrie, GA, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 14 running back in the nation and the No. 20 player in the state of Georgia. He's also rated as the No. 159 overall player in the 2026 recruiting class.

Tennessee doesn't currently have a running back committed to its 2026 recruiting class, so Lamar is certainly a player for Vols fans to keep an eye on.

It's still early in the recruiting process for Lamar. We should have a better idea of where he will commit sometime early in 2026.
