Myron Cope designed the Terrible Towel to be the ultimate sign of Pittsburgh Steelers lore.

Those who wave the golden cloth are proud fans of one of the most famous franchises in all of sports.

But occasionally, fans of other teams grab the towel and do things that are far more naughty than nice.

That tends to lead to the Terrible Towel curse, and the Philadelphia Eagles find themselves in the middle of that right now:

Terrible Towel Curse striking the Eagles?

The move was a bold one from the Eagles fan, even if they did put it on the Steelers and win by two scores. We have seen teams in the past fair poorly when harming the Terrible Towel, with Jaguars, Browns, and others coming to mind.

And what happened to Philly against the Washington Commanders on Sunday? Their 10-game-win streak was snapped, and some of their sure-handed pass catchers like DeVonta Smith ended up dropping passes while staring QB Jalen Hurts was replaced by former Steelers QB Kenny Pickett after suffering a concussion.

Pickett also suffered a rib injury and the Eagles defense didn't look like themselves after allowing the Commanders to put up 36 points. So what did we learn folks?

You don't mess with the Terrible towel, even if it's after a big win.
