This season, the Minnesota Vikings have played tremendously on defense and are tied for fourth in the National Football League with 42 sacks on the season. They continue to get after the quarterback and make offenses look bad in the process.

Jonathan Greenard with the quote of the year

The signing of Jonathan Greenard this offseason was arguably their biggest move. Sure, Sam Darnold is playing excellent football, but Greenard's play has shaped the defense in a way that isn't felt on the stat sheet. His explosive nature isn't just great at getting after the quarterback, Greenard has been a menace in the run game.

Greenard also had a strip sack on Monday night, which was recovered by Blake Cashman.

That was a great play where Greenard took advantage of rookie right tackle Kiran Amegadjie for the strip sack and it was one of the first things that Greenard was asked about in the postgame.

"I tell everybody that a strip sack is the best feeling in the world. Sorry to my wife, by the way."

Q: Do you really mean that?

Greenard: "100 percent. She knows."

That might be the best quote we've gotten from a player so far this season. You can watch it below.

Greenard's comments are just as good as his play and that's quite impressive. He's been the best part of the Vikings' defense this year and could be huge down the stretch.

For now, just enjoy the incredible line from Greenard.
