Former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Aaron Murray revealed his top 12 college football rankings now that the regular season is over and he made an interesting choice with a three-loss SEC program.
Murray has the South Carolina Gamecocks, which are 9-3 and unlikely to make the 12-team College Football Playoff, ranked at No. 5.
The former Georgia quarterback has the Tennessee Vols, a team that is 10-2 and is a virtual lock to make the 12-team College Football Playoff, ranked at No. 8.
Here's his full top 12.
If you're going by resumé, there's no way you can have South Carolina ranked at No. 5. A three-loss team simply can't be ranked that high — especially a team that was blown out by three-loss Ole Miss (which is a program that lost to Kentucky).
And if you're going off how teams are currently playing, there's no way that you can have Ohio State, which is coming off a bad home loss to Michigan, ranked above Tennessee.
It's tougher than ever to rank teams because of the parity that's now in the sport. Murray's rankings, however, seem to be a bit contradictory based on what we've seen the last few weeks.
