Buffalo Bills resoundingly answered a huge question in AFC East-clinching victory
By now, you know that the Buffalo Bills are the AFC East champions, which feels really weird to say on December 2, but here we are. The Bills have run away with the division, holding a five game lead on the pack while having a 3-0 record against AFC East teams. In their 35-10 victory on […]
By now, you know that the Buffalo Bills are the AFC East champions, which feels really weird to say on December 2, but here we are. The Bills have run away with the division, holding a five game lead on the pack while having a 3-0 record against AFC East teams.
In their 35-10 victory on Sunday Night Football over the visiting 49ers, snow an all, Buffalo scored 30+ points for the sixth game in a row, but adding a "W" to the win column wasn't the only win that the Bills logged on Sunday night.
Veteran and cornerstone linebacker Matt Milano, who had been out since the preseason with a torn biceps muscle, made his return in triumphant fashion. After a week of comments alluding to the fact that Milano would be on a pitch count, he very clearly was not.
Milano got a hero's welcome from Bills Mafia, and then proceeded to play far more than anyone expected.
Buffalo ran dime and replaced Milano with an extra defensive back 11 times throughout the game. Outside of those situation, Milano was on the field for every single snap. Dorian Williams, who had served as Milano's replacement throughout the season up to this point, did not see the field.
It's honestly a shock to the system. Terrel Bernard anchors the middle of the defense and played every snap, and Milano was the only other linebacker to play in the game.
It's fair to wonder if that was necessary. With the Bills running away with a blowout situation, it can be argued that Buffalo would have been wise to pull Milano from the game in his first action of the season, allowing Williams to get on the field with a multi-score game.
Fortunately, it didn't come back to hurt the Bills, as Milano got through the game unscathed and seems set to resume his normal, and crucial, role on the defense as the team tries to hunt down the Kansas City Chiefs for the No. 1 seed in the AFC.
Bills’ Josh Allen has the perfect sideline reaction to his epic play on Sunday Night Football against the 49ers
Josh Allen made an absurd play, which the Buffalo Bills social media team has dubbed "The Lake Effect Lateral," has pretty much been seen by everyone by now. If, for some reason you haven't seen it, I'll embed it below. It might just be the MVP moment for Allen's resume at the end of the […]
