The Cincinnati Bengals are starting up practice this week with a Monday night game against the Dallas Cowboys on the horizon.

Will left tackle Orlando Brown Jr. play? As of now, he'd be doubtful according to head coach Zac Taylor.

The Bengals have already placed kicker Evan McPherson on the Reserve/Injured list this week and will likely do the same to linebacker Logan Wilson pretty soon. Taylor wasn't ready to say if Brown will have the same fate.

"I don't know about that yet," Taylor said. "We'll just continue to work through the week with Orlando."

Brown is dealing with the same fibula injury he suffered all the way back in Week 7 in October. He ended up aggravating it a week later and missed the following three games. Brown made his return this past Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but Taylor said he ended up playing through pain later in the game

If Brown doesn't play, the Bengals may have to deploy new offensive line configuration. They started Cody Ford over Cordell Volson at left guard last week, but Ford had been Brown's replacement at left tackle while the former four-time Pro Bowler was out. Ford could slide back to the edge with Volson retaking the spot he held for over two years, or Devin Cochran or Andrew Stueber could take over for Brown instead.

As expected, Brown did not practice Thursday. He was joined by defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins (illness) and Wilson. Plenty others for Cincinnati were limited including wide receivers Ja'Marr Chase (ankle), Tee Higgins (rest), and Charlie Jones (groin). Right tackle Amarius Mims (ankle) was also limited.

The Cowboys had an extensive injury report as well with left tackle Tyler Guyton (ankle/knee), wide receiver CeeDee Lamb (shoulder), right guard Zack Martin (ankle/shoulder, safety Juanyeh Thomas (knee), and former Bengals linebacker Nick Vigil (foot) all sidelined. Martin will soon undergo season-ending surgery on his ankle.

Wide receiver Brandin Cooks (rest/knee), cornerback Trevon Diggs (knee), safety Malik Hooker (rest), linebacker Eric Kendricks (rest/shoulder), cornerback Jourdan Lewis (rest) and linebacker DeMarvion Overshown (hamstring) were all limited.
