When Notre Dame football takes on the Florida State Seminoles on November 9th at home, it’s shaping up to be a massive recruiting weekend for the Irish. They will be hosting 2025 Center Valley (Pa.) Southern Lehigh tight end Andrew Olesh, which was first reported by Kyle Kelly of Blue and Gold Illustrated. This is a big deal for Notre Dame hosting Olesh, who is one of the top tight ends in the country.

Currently committed to Michigan, and has been since July, several schools have continued to push for the talented pass catcher. That includes the Irish who already hold a commitment from Green Bay (Wisc.) Notre Dame De La Baie Academy tight end James Flanigan, an Irish legacy who is ranked as a consensus four-star player and a top 110 overall player or better by 247Sports, On3, and ESPN.

Notre Dame has been searching for a second tight end in the class over the last couple of months due to some potential defections this offseason. Flanigan is one of the top tight ends in the country, and very settled in his commitment. The thought of potentially adding Olesh to the mix is an incredible thought.

Olesh is currently considered a consensus four-star player by every major recruiting platform. He ranks highest by On3 and 247Sports, both ranking him as the No. 47 overall player and No. 3 tight end in the 2025 recruiting class. Looking at his offer list, it’s very easy to justify that ranking.

The 6-5, 215-pound athlete is an athletic freak. As a junior in 2023, he hauled in 53 receptions for 973 yards and 10 touchdowns. Olesh also plays both safety and linebacker for Southern Lehigh, showcasing his tremendous overall athleticism.
