The Philadelphia Eagles are losing their Sunday Night Football primetime slot in Week 9, and it's not their fault.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Philly vs. Jacksonville Jaguars has been flexed out of the original 8:20 p.m. ET time slot on Nov. 3 and will now kick off at 4:05 p.m. ET.

The decision comes after the Jaguars' poor start to the 2024 season as they are only 2-5 and rank among the worst teams in the league.

Instead, the NFL has flexed the Indianapolis Colts (4-3) and Minnesota Vikings (5-1) into the primetime slot, which will feature veteran quarterback Sam Darnold and second-year quarterback Anthony Richardson

This is the second time that the Eagles have been moved from their original kick-off time.

Their upcoming Week 8 game against the Cincinnati Bengals (3-4) was scheduled for 4:25 p.m. ET but has been moved to the 1 p.m. ET early kickoff slate in favor of two rookie quarterbacks

The Eagles still have two more primetime games remaining on their schedule that are back-to-back. The first one is in Week 11 on Thursday, Nov. 14 vs. the Washington Commanders followed by Week 12 at the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, Nov. 24.
