The Tennessee Titans signed S Jamal Adams on Thursday, July 11, and released him on Thursday, October 17th. His tenure with the Titans lasted all of 98 days.

He was released on his 29th Birthday, but don't feel bad. Adams actually got his birthday wish, because he reportedly requested to be released. The Titans granted that request.

The end of this chapter in Adams' career comes on the heels of being mysteriously placed on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury list last Saturday. Turron Davenport of ESPN reported that Adams had been discontent with his role in the Titans defense so far:

Adams joins the prestigious list of "Titans Legends" such as Julio Jones, Randy Moss, Andre Johnson, Adrian Peterson, and other formerly fantastic players who played in Nashville long after they fell off. Adams isn't a current or future Hall of Famer like the others, but he is a former All Pro! So he makes the list.

While we mourn the end of the incredibly brief Titans Legend Jamal Adams era, we must smile because it happened. And so, here are all 20 of his snaps in two-tone blue ranked by how entertained I was when I watched them.

1 Star: Barely On The Screen

20. You can skim through numbers 20-15 on this list, because Jamal isn't involved at all. Boring! Here, he fakes the blitz and then picks up the guy in the flat.

19. Jamal gets caught up in traffic on this one before covering his man downfield, but the Titans get a rare sack on the play.

18. Jamal crashes to pick up the guy in the flat, but the ball goes to the opposite side of the field.

17. Jamal engages on the run stop, but the ball goes away from his side.

16. Here he shoots upfield before realizing the run is headed left, and isn't needed to make the stop.

15. This one is mildly interesting. He appears to be… gently blocked out of the play? Or is he just playing deep as the last line of defense? He is a safety, after all.

2 Stars: Also Uninvolved, But Entertaining

14. This play comes in at number 14 because it's one of his two (2) snaps in the Jets game! Jamal also gets a bonus point here for shutting down his man downfield. Sure, his man is Tyler Conklin, a bulky TE that for some reason is lined up wide and running a vertical route. But Jamal covers him up nonetheless. Bravo.

13. This one is fun because he comes aggressively at the QB on the left edge, but it's an inside run that he gets blocked super wide away from.

3 Stars: Almost Involved!

12. We're getting closer to the best of Titans Legend Jamal Adams, but we aren't there yet. On this play, he maintains lane integrity on the screen , but doesn't appear to even try to shed the block to crash towards the runner.

11. This is basically the same play, but it gets the nod at number 11 because you can tell he at least tries to shed the block. Points for effort.

10. Here, Jamal gives some marginal effort jogging in pursuit of the run to the opposite field. Way to conserve that energy!

9. Jamal crashes on the run here but wisely pulls up to avoid a leg injury. Playing smart, I respect that.

4 Stars: Way To Get In There!

8. Oh yea, now we're into the good stuff. This is the best of the best, people. This play sneaks into the top-8 not because of anything Jamal actually does, but because of the situation. This was his one (1) snap in the Dolphins game, which was apparently the final straw in him wanting to take his talents elsewhere. He's covering a fellow Titans Legend Jonnu Smith before gingerly crashing towards the ball.

7. To be clear, the satirical nature of this list isn't really poking fun at Adams as a player so much as it's poking fun at how short his stay was. Because we're about to get to some good plays! We're also going to get to some bad plays too, but the point stands.

Here, Jamal bounces off of his initial block and then gets in on the tackle of Josh Jacobs!

6. Number 6 isn't Jamal's greatest moment. But it is funny to watch! Packers OT Rasheed Walker pancakes him on this run play:

5. Another of Jamal's plays he'd like back, here he is in position to make the open-field tackle of Emmanuel Wilson, but he whiffs. Luckily his teammate Ernest Jones bails him out.

5 Stars: Star Of The Show

4. This is the crème de la crème, people. Only the best of the best. On this one, Jamal is decisive and comes screaming downhill to lay a bruising hit on the runner. Now this is football!

3. Another strong rep: Adams makes a great open-field tackle on Emmanuel Wilson preventing a massive play.

2. Coming in as the runner-up is a fantastic rep from Adams. He's engaged early, keeps his head up and eyes downfield, quickly sheds the block, and lays the wood on the runner. Well done, Jamal.

1. Remember, this list isn't ranking the best snaps. It's ranking them based completely on my own subjective entertainment watching them. And when I look back on the Titans Legend Jamal Adams era in Tennessee, this is what I will remember: Adams having the stop right in front of him, But Tucker Kraft sends him flying and picks up a big gain.
