The New Orleans Saints are getting run out of their own building against Sean Payton's Denver Broncos. The defense has been ran over by a milling rushing attack, and the offense has punted on nearly every possession so far.

Nothing is going right for Dennis Allen's team, and it has reached an embarrassing boiling point. Analysts during the broadcast and at halftime were brutally honest regarding Allen's decision-making and his team's effort.

Richard Sherman goes off on Dennis Allen

"It seems like they want to get their coach fired! That's the effort they're playing with… Dennis Allen, you call a timeout so we can watch your quarterback take a knee?!"

— Sherman

Sherman is spot on. The Saints defense is dealing with a few notable injuries. That does not excuse the tackling issues and miscommunication that has led to the struggles over the past handful of weeks for New Orleans.

Allen is responsible for the defense. His unit has gotten embarrassed two weeks in a row, now. Since the team's first two wins, they have been one of the worst defenses in all of football.

After the game, Allen said that he disagreed with Sherman's comments about the team's effort.

Broadcast calls out Allen's decision-making

Allen decided to use both of his remaining timeouts on the team's final drive that had sixteen seconds left when it began. He even used the last one to follow it up with a kneel down.

Clearly, that was some sort of miscommunication between the head coach and OC Klint Kubiak. Regardless, it was another horrific look for the veteran HC. The broadest of Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit made sure to call them out for it, too.

Many fans headed out after Drew Brees' halftime speech and crowd chant. He, unfortunately, got to see the embarrassing performance in person as he was inducted into franchise's Hall of Fame.
