The Denver Broncos had a a moment, or a situation, you could say, on Sunday when they beat the Las Vegas Raiders to take second place in the AFC West behind the Kansas City Chiefs. It's not that big of a deal, in fact, it's probably nothing, just like Sean Payton said, but, it's still worth the mention.

On Monday and Tuesday morning it's still the talking point of the win because fans cannot possibly fathom how rookie Bo Nix can have the confidence to talk to Sean Payton and get him his face about a play that went bad when Russell Wilson sat there on the sideline nodding his head. Every player is different, firstly, and secondly, they were just telling each other they love one another if you let them tell the story.

But, when Payton was describing a bit of the incident, if you want to call it that, he had a bit of an odd comparison that you likely will not hear often.

“It is part of the deal. There is still a little bit of Ferris Bueller in this player that we have to get rid of," Sean Payton said after the big-time win. "I’m talking about Bo [Nix]. I love him to death and sometimes it is my love language. (laughs) It is just funny. Ferris is kind of quirky and doing his own thing once in a while.

"Did you watch the movie? Have you ever seen it? (laughs) He still has some Ferris Bueller in him. He’s got some. Not mischievous, maybe a little bit kind of subtly. (laughs) There are times when you send something in, and I do not want it flipped. It gets flipped, but it is all good. He works his tail off. I am that way. It just is what it is.”

Ferris Bueller is a movie character who is known for being humorous, witty, and most of all a guy trying to skip school. That's probably not what you would have guessed Sean Payton would compare his quarterback to. But, whatever that means.

The incident is not anything to worry about, though. In fact, I think this was good for the two of them. If you watch afterward, they came together, listened to one another without yelling, and moved on. It was the moment their relationship needed. Now, Sean Payton knows, if he didn't know already, that Nix has a bit of fire to him. The two will look to keep their hot streak alive when they face the Los Angeles Chargers next.
