The Tennessee Vols are on the first of their two byes during the season, and it came at the perfect time.

The Vols are working to get a handful of couple of key players back from injury, particularly their starting tackles Lance Heard and John Campbell, Jr..  Heard has been dealing with an unspecified leg injury that kept him out of the Vols' last two games against Kent State and Oklahoma.  Campbell left the game against Oklahoma with an injury.

According to Josh Heupel on Wednesday during his weekly press conference, he expects both to be available when the Vols take on Arkansas in Fayetteville on October 5.

"I feel like we'll have both of those guys when we get to Fayetteville," Heupel said.

Heard, who transferred in from LSU during the offseason, was solid during his first two games, looking like the clear answer to protect Nico Iamaleava's blindside.  Things weren't as smooth on Saturday, as Nico was pressured and strip sacked twice, with both resulting in turnovers.

Tackle Dayne Davis – who, to be somewhat fair, had to shift from the left side to the right during the game because of Campbell going down- struggled, allowing two pressures and a sack while earning a team-low 47.2 grade by Pro Football Focus. Larry Johnson III took over at left tackle when Davis moved to the other side.

As such, the return of their tackles would be a big boost to a line that needs to ensure Nico stays healthy this year for the Vols to get to where they want to be.  And, according to his coach, it sounds like the Vols will have them back when they take the field at Razorback Stadium on October 5.
