The Detroit Lions won the craziest game of Dan Campbell's tenure last Sunday when they overcame and 23-7 halftime deficit and came back and won 26-23 on a huge Jake Bates 52-yard field goal.

After the game you could see Campbell and Lions' quarterback Jared Goff walking off the field together in an embrace with Goff saying something in his ear. Campbell told local media on Wednesday what Goff said to him.

"He said 'we're just built different.' Campbell said. "That's really what he said, 'we're just different.' And I just agreed with him. We are, you know, that's the way we're built."

It's incredibly hard to disagree with Goff there. I've covered this team for the last decade and there were countless times where the Lions are the Texans in this game and they're the ones that somehow lose that game.

Even last week in the rain, are you kidding me? That's a classic Lions loss. The old Lions would have probably started losing after Week 6 when they lost their top defensive player. The old Lions used to lose just because they couldn't overcome penalties.

This team wants to overcome everything. They seemingly welcome hard times and then play their best when those times show up. What is happening in Detroit right now is unbelievable, but at the same time it's just a reversal of the things that used to happen and it makes you wonder why the Lions couldn't have just done this in the past.

The easiest answer is that they didn't believe and now they do.
