Throughout the 2024 season, the Las Vegas Raiders have faced a series of injuries impacting key players, and it's a large reason why, but not the main reason, this team is as bad as they are.

Defensive end Malcolm Koonce was placed on the Injured Reserve (IR) before the season started due to a knee injury. Cornerback Decamerion Richardson has also been sidelined with a hamstring issue to start the year.

The team's offensive line was hit hard with guard Jackson Powers-Johnson listed as out due to illness and other injuries to start the year, and other offensive linemen like Jake Johanning and Kolton Miller dealing with various ailments.

Linebacker Tommy Eichenberg was out with a knee injury. On the offensive side, wide receiver Davante Adams missed time due to a hamstring injury before he was traded to the New York Jets, and tight end Michael Mayer was dealing with personal issues affecting his availability.

Running back Zamir White has encountered both injury and performance-related absences, while defensive tackle Christian Wilkins underwent surgery for a Jones Fracture in his foot, potentially sidelining him indefinitely. These injuries have significantly influenced the team's performance and roster management throughout the season, and they're not done.

The injury issue got better the last few weeks, as guys started getting healthier and the team started to see a bit more success in certain areas. But now it's bad, as their Wednesday report for Week 12 against the Miami Dolphins is pretty bad.

Raiders' Wednesday Week 12 injury report

Jakorian Bennett, Jack Jones, Andre James, Justin Shorter, Zamir White, Alexander Mattison, Nate Hobbs, and Harrison Bryant were all out of practice on Wednesday.

Cody Whitehair was limited.

If things continue to trend this way, the Raiders will have some slack to make up for sure. After their game against the Broncos, the Raiders will play the Kansas City Chiefs, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Atlanta Falcons, New Orleans Saints, Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Los Angeles Chargers.
