At this point, Texas has its own personal broadcast team on ABC.

In an odd scheduling quirk, ABC has scheduled the broadcast team of Joe Tessitore, Jesse Palmer and Katie George to work the Longhorns’ game for the third straight week.

The crew had Texas’ 49-17 win over Florida on Nov. 9 and followed with the 20-10 win over Arkansas last week.

TV viewers are following along at home, too. The third-ranked Longhorns (9-1, 5-1 SEC) are delivering in their ratings window.

The Florida-Texas matchup drew 3.9 million viewers, according to ESPN. The Texas-Arkansas game drew an average of 4.6 million.

For comparison, the top three most watched games of the season were Georgia (12.9 million), Michigan (9.19 million) and Oklahoma (7.63 million).

If Texas and Texas A&M both win their games on Saturday, ESPN’s College GameDay is likely headed to College Station on Nov. 30 for the Longhorns and Aggies’ matchup. That game is already scheduled for a 6:30 p.m. kickoff on ABC and will likely draw the No. 1 team of Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit.

For now, Texas fans should hope the Tessitore-Palmer combination keeps the good vibes rolling.

The storyline is easy. If the Longhorns win their final two regular season games, they’ll advance to the SEC championship game in Atlanta. If they lose one of the next two, it’s possible the College Football Playoff committee knocks Texas out of the 12-team bracket.
