In recent week, Buffalo Bills rookie wide receiver Keon Coleman has been emerging as one of the top weapons in the Buffalo passing attack for quarterback Josh Allen. On Sunday, near the end of a quiet game for him statistically, Coleman drew a hard hit from former Bills Pro Bowler Jordan Poyer, which earned Poyer an unnecessary roughness penalty.

The health of Coleman is the most important factor to consider after the hit, apparently suffering a wrist injury. While tests are still ongoing, could his status going forward have an impact on the plans of general manager Brandon Beane at Tuesday's trade deadline?

For Buffalo, fortunately they have other weapons on offense, including the ever-reliable and constantly underrated Khalil Shakir, along with newly-acquired Amari Cooper, who missed this week with an injury. If Coleman isn't able to go this coming Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts, Cooper's role in the offense would be set to see a sizable increase.

Cooper has the size and the route running ability to operate as the primary outside weapon, which has been his primary alignment in limited action with the Bills so far. According to PFF, Cooper has played over 84% of his snaps with the Bills lined up out wide.

Maybe the absence of Coleman would open the door for more two tight end looks. Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox both see the field plenty, and Buffalo has found a lot of success, especially in the run game, when they line up in a heavy set.

Coleman's injury is still being evaluated. Maybe it's nothing. Even if it does sideline Coleman on a week-to-week basis, I wouldn't expect Beane to make a move for another wide receiver. There are plenty of pieces in the offense's meeting room to keep the ball moving. Sitting with a 7-2 record and a sizable lead in the AFC East, there's no dire urgency to go out and swing for another playmaker.
