Tennessee Vols special teams coordinator/linebackers coach Mike Ekeler took a minute during Vol Calls on Wednesday evening to send a heartfelt message to UT fans.

Ekeler paused between questions during Vol Calls to express gratitude to Tennessee fans for the atmosphere they've created during UT home games this season, pointing out that it's made a huge impact on recruiting.

"First of all, I want to give a shout out to our fans," said Ekeler. "I mean, that stadium, that environment in Neyland Stadium, is absolutely incredible. I mean, our fans, I don't know how many points they're worth each week, but they're worth a bunch. And cannot express the electricity when you walk in there. And every recruit that comes to the game, every one of them, they leave out of there saying, 'Man, this is the neatest experience we've ever had.' It's incredible. I mean, it really, truly is."

"The environment, it sells itself," added Ekeler. "And then you come in here, I mean, people love this town. They love the university. It's an incredible place, so it truly sells itself."

When Tennessee football is at its best, so are Vols fans. There are plenty of incredible environments in college football, and it's nearly impossible to objectively rank those environments, but there's no doubt that Neyland Stadium is in the mix to be at the top of the list.
