The Tennessee Vols won’t have to deal with a familiar face that tormented the program last year when they travel to Athens for a Saturday night matchup against the Georgia Bulldogs.

Georgia ruled out junior running back Trevor Etienne for the Tennessee game via the updated SEC injury report that was released on Thursday evening.

Etienne is Georgia's leading rusher this season with 477 yards and seven touchdowns (he also has 23 receptions for 140 yards).

Bulldogs running backs Roderick Robinson II and Branson Robinson have also been ruled out for the game against the Vols. Running back Cash Jones is listed as questionable.

Etienne transferred from Florida to Georgia after the 2023 season.

Last season, while playing for the Gators, Etienne set a career high with 172 rushing yards in Florida's win against Tennessee in Gainesville.

Etienne hasn't rushed for more than 100 yards in a game since his big performance against the Vols in 2023.

With Etienne ruled out, true freshman running back Nate Frazier will likely be the Bulldogs' go-to option in the running game against Tennessee.

Frazier is a former four-star recruit who has totaled 333 rushing yards and three touchdowns this season while averaging 4.6 yards per carry so far this season.

Tennessee and Georgia are set to kick off at 7:30 PM ET in Athens on Saturday evening.
