In last Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins, Bills rookie breakout receiver Keon Coleman took a hard hit from former-Bills safety Jordan Poyer. It's been the topic of plenty of conversation this week, as many member of Bills Mafia are looking at Poyer as some sort of WWE heel for the hit, which earned Poyer an unnecessary roughness penalty.

More importantly for the Bills, Coleman left that hit with a wrist injury that head coach Sean McDermott described this week as potentially being a multi-week issue. The Bills haven't placed Coleman on IR, but with a home date against the Kansas City Chiefs next week followed by their bye, it looks likely that we won't see Coleman on the field until December.

For the hit, the league has fined Poyer $11,193, the second-biggest fine of the week.

The wide receiver injuries are mounting for the Bills. As they prepare for a road game against the Indianapolis Colts, who will have veteran Joe Flacco under center at quarterback, the status of Amari Cooper is very much up in the air. Further indicating that the Bills aren't feeling confident in their health and depth at the wide receiver position, the Bills signed preseason standout Tyrell Shavers and KJ Hamler from the practice squad to be up for this game.

Without Cooper, Khalil Shakir would be the only starting wide receiver that's healthy for the game. Outside of Shakir, the position would look fairly bleak. The Bills could be relying more heavily on the ground game and the tight end position in this one, which could serve them well; the Colts defense currently ranks 28th in the league in defensive EPA/Rush allowed. Time to run the ball.
